Museums offer an oppurtunity for people of all backgrounds and educational levels to discover and engage with the ever-expanding knowledge of the world. This interactive museum exhibit aims to transport users from their place as museum guests to the archeologists behind the scenes and ultimately to send them back in time to experience artifacts as they once were. Jewelry of Thebes walks users through the process of excavating, cleaning, and finally wearing ancient bracelets created in Thebes, Egypt during the twelfth dynasty. This project combines various sensors with MadMapper projection mapping, digital illustration and motion graphics, and AI-aided code in Processing and Arduino, to bring an exciting archeoligical adventure to life. This exhibit was constructed and briefly demoed during the Interactive Spaces Gallery at Kutztown University.
